2012 RACES Award Presentations

Congratulations to Jan and Ulis Hair, recipients of the first Jan and Ulis Hair Volunteer Service Award.

The award is named for Jan and Ulis' 50 plus years of volunteer service to the Amateur and Fort Worth Community.

Jan accepted the award on behalf of her-self and late husband Ulis.  Besides their work with Tarrant County RACES they were both actively involved in the Citizens on Patrol Program in South Fort Worth and other organizations.

Keith Wells, Senior Emergency Manager for the City of Fort Worth, presented the award to Jan Hair at the Tarrant County Skywarn School January 28, 2012.

Keith Pugh - W5IU was presented with the first Jim Bob Scott Memorial award.

The award is named after Jim Bob Scott who "stepped up" when the job needed to be done.  Keith Pugh exhibits those same qualities.

Keith was recognized for his 33 years as amateur radio communications coordinator for the Cowtown Marathon and many other public service events.

Keith Wells, Senior Emergency Manager for the City of Fort Worth, presented the award to Keith at the Tarrant County Skywarn School January 28, 2012.
